Hampton Roads Podiatrist, Dr. Robert W. Sullivan, DPM

Hampton Roads podiatrist Dr. Sullivan is a native of Philadelphia. As an undergraduate, Dr. Sullivan attended Temple University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He earned his Doctorate at Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Sullivan completed his residency at the Osteopathic Medical center of Philadelphia and was the Chief Resident in Foot Surgery from 1985 through 1986. Dr. Sullivan is board certified through the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatry Association, the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association and the American Diabetes Association. Dr. Sullivan served in the military and was the Chief Foot Service, USMC Branch Clinic at the Naval Hospital Beaufort S.C. and the U.S. Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA.

Prior to joining 1Foot 2Foot, Dr. Sullivan was appointed as the Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA before starting his own practice in 1999. Dr. Sullivan has been published in six medical journals and has held several prestigious appointments including Chairman, Sentara Bayside Hospital Department of Surgery, Physicians Advisory Committee for Sentara Hospitals, Member of the Hospital Credentials Committee, Medical Records Committee, Surgical Credentials Committee and the Surgical Case Review Committee for Sentara Bayside Hospital. Member Surgical Advisory Committee Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, and Member of the Board of Directors Princess Anne Ambulatory Surgery Center. Dr. Sullivan has also been President of the Hampton Roads Podiatric Association from 2001-2008. Dr. Sullivan specializes in Medical and Surgical Care of the Foot and Ankle.

Dr. Sullivan enjoys spending time with his friends and family. Hiking, Skiing and travel highlight his recreational endeavors.
