LOCATIONS:

Hampton Roads podiatrist Dr. Eric Moffett was born and raised in central Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Afterwards he was accepted into the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, where he served as Class President and chair of several student-run committees. During his final year of school, Dr. Moffett completed rotations at hospitals across the nation to understand the different approaches to podiatric medicine in each region.

Dr. Moffett completed an intense foot and ankle residency at St. Vincent Health Systems in Indianapolis, IN. The main hospital, a 1,000-bed Level I trauma center, provided an exceptional education in trauma, diabetic foot care, foot and ankle reconstruction, as well as wound care and limb salvage. This included training with Pediatric Orthopedic surgeons from Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, as well as surgeons from the Riley Hospital for Children. Serving as Chief Resident in his third year, Dr. Moffett placed a large focus on academics with all his fellow Podiatry residents while also lecturing to the Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents about foot and ankle pathologies. He was active in the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association, giving resident lectures on various topics and participating in numerous health fairs.

When he is not at work, Dr. Moffett enjoys spending time with his wife and son. They are big fans of the zoo and the aquarium. After moving so far from the ocean during Residency and Podiatry school, he enjoys being back on the water kayaking.
